Beard And Brau Brewery is another SE Queensland brewery (originally from SA) based at Tamborine (becoming a popular area for Brewers). On a recent return trip from a footy game we dropped into the Bearded Dragon and had a recovery session on the Beard and Brau beers on tap there! On departure we rattled the bars on the drive-through and grabbed a carton of Red Tail for the trip home (yes Bearded Dragon i was sober enough to remember that you still owe me a Beard & Brau iPhone bottle opener case the next time I’m up that way!). Any way this is one of the survivors that I’m drinking tonight!
Pours a dark amber colour with a slight haziness, not a huge head on this beer as it dropped away to a thin beige lacing. It has a sweet caramel and fruity aroma notes that is also picked up in the flavour. The caramel continues into the aftertaste.
A light bodied ale that’s well balanced between bitterness and flavour and quite sessionable as proven prior to this tasting.
