Birra del Borgo / Dogfish Head – My Atonia
I’ve had this beer sitting in the fridge for a few months now waiting for the right moment to pop the top, and for no real reason it seemed the right time! It’s an Imperial Pilsner collaboration between Italian brewer Birra del Borgo and Dogfish Head and bottled in Birra del Borgo’s unique bulbous 750ml bottles.
Pouring into the glass is a bright golden fluid with a light haziness and a full white foamy head. Sweet aromas emanating from the glass is fresh citrus – lemon, grassy and light grains. There are grainy flavours with the bitterness backing of the hops providing the citrus and piney taste. Mouth feel comes across smooth and fizzy.
A nice refreshing beer with a bit of an alcohol punch towards the end of the bottle.

Birra del Borgo – InBraNata
Came across a few beers from the Italian Birra del Borgo Brewing Co range recently that i couldn’t shy away from, having tried their 7IPA a while back that tasted a treat, and another collab beer chilling in the beer fridge, with another 4 joining them.
One of them is this Inbranata, a saison. It poured a slightly cloudy golden colour with a thin head. It’s a sweet smelling beer with fruit, malt and wheat aromas, and light yeasty notes. It has a fruity sweet flavour bite, followed with a caramel aftertaste.
It’s a refreshing sweet beer – an easy drinker and the ABV is hardly noticeable.
ABV – 6.4
Style – Saison
