What do you know this brown ale pours a dark brown with a tan head that drops away to a fine ring around the glass edge. This Ale has a sweet citrus (lemon/grapefruit) aroma which is quite moreish to the nose. To taste it has a bold bitterness to it, with a good use of hops and malt. The roasted malts produce a nice caramel nutty flavour to go with the hoppy tastes of pine and citrus.
Great brown ale, smooth with a good hit of alcohol. A quality release from 4 Pines limited release dept – Keller Door.
This Kiwi brew pours a dark brown with a red tinge in the light and creamy beige coloured head. Has a real chocolaty malt aroma with hints of caramel. Has a smooth, chocolate malt, medium bodied, with not a high hop flavoured sweetness.
Easy drinking beer!
This India Red Ale pours a darkish copper-red colour with a generous white head. The Aussie Galaxy, Topaz and Enigma hops gives this beer a real fruity sweet aroma. There is strong fruity hop flavour with sweet caramel malts prominent.
The Fat Man is an enjoyable beer, originally brewed for Canadian export, luckily us Aussies got a chance to taste it….but only as a special release!
