Granite Belt Brewery – IRA
Stanthorpe, Queensland wine capital is the home from where this beer came from – Granite Belt Brewery – IRA (Irish Red Ale).
This ale pours a dark copper reddish colour, not t real frothy head that quickly drops away to lace the edge of the glass. Low carbonation. Aroma is sweet with notes of honey caramels, floral and spice. Has a light bitterness finish, sweet balanced caramel flavour. A smooth light bodied beer – Nice easy drinking sessional ale from an area dominated by wine.
I have another 5 Granite Belt Brewery brews that I’ll road test in the up coming weeks!

Feral Brewing’s latest limited release in their “Brewpub Series” pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a fluffy white head that hangs about. A dose of German hops gives a fruity, floral aroma. Got a good nose to this beer. Taste is unique; it has a bitter finish with citrus flavours and a sweet aftertaste.
ABV – 6.5%

Ekim Brewing Berserker
Pours a clear dark amber with a creamy head that reduces. The aroma is quite floral and fruity. Had too (but didn’t need too) keep swirling the glass to release more aromas – nice! The malts release a roasted toffee taste as do the hops with a fruity floral flavour. Not a highly carbonated beer from the bottle, and definitely a beer to have a again. Need to try this on tap!
Great artwork on the bottle. Berserkers were warriors who fought in a nearly uncontrollable, trance-like fury. Probably would have drunk like that if I had any more. Great Beer!
